In a unanimous decision to sever their contract with United General Hospital, the Foundation has changed its name to “North Cascade Healthcare Foundation.†This decision allows the foundation to expand its purpose to include health initiatives countywide; meeting the needs of the residents to a much larger extent. The Foundation will continue to support United General as they have in the past and continue to insure that donor’s wishes are honored.
Additionally, this action saves the Foundation operations costs of $15,000 in space and salary grants they were contracted to pay the hospital annually; money that can now be redirected to patients and programs.
