I was asked to contact a Tommy (I can't remember the last name) and Mark Boeker about working a case for the Insurance company. My associate and I met with them both and was given a case of a stolen tractor stolen in June. This was a long time ago and told them so but would certainly put forth the effort. Working that Wednesday through to this Monday on comprehensives of potential perpetrators, walking and talking through 5 counties, wrecking yards, junkyards. Went into the "Brazos Bottom" and handed out flyers and talked to people. When I concluded my work I presented it all in two books and a thumb drive. We explained everything to Mike Boeker and he agreed that at such a late date the tractor could have been parted out or in another state. I included my invoice as well and we called his attention to it but he kinda just didn't mention it anymore so I thought it would be in the mail. After I was back at the office Tommy called me and told me that since I didn't actually find the tractor he was going to pay me. He took my work and said he and Mark were impressed but he wasn't going to pay me. I take pride in my work and I did a lot of work on this because I thought it may lead to more work. To have Tommy laugh at me when he told me that he wasn't going to pay me, just hurt, 63 years old and I have never heard of a business treat people that way. And I think the reason Mark was so glad I put everything on a thumb drive is so they can use my work and change it. I made books for both of them and a thumb drive, at my expense. If you can speak to them I would appreciate it, I'm upset and I start crying when I feel like a fool for trusting them.
