Dear Middletown Friends,
The Kiwanis Club of Middletown is leading an adventure that will help the children of the Amanda Elementary School. We are inviting you to be a part of this adventure.
The Amanda Elementary School needs a new playground. The school is located on Oxford State Road in Middletown, Ohio. It is too close to the road for the safety of the students. All other elementary schools have their playgrounds in the back, out of sight, for safety. Amanda Elementary needs our help because there are no funds in the budget for upgrading the playground.
According to the principal of the school, Beth Henricks, safety is the first consideration for needing a new play area. The current playground is decades old and not properly outfitted for physically challenged children. Mrs. Hendricks has drawn up plans of a playground that would fit all of the school’s needs. The Kiwanis Club is spearheading the fundraising of these funds, and we need community partners like you to join us. Both in-kind and monetary donations will be accepted. A project budget of $160,000.00 has been set.
. The area surrounding Amanda School has very low income and frequently one parent families. A nice school playground would be a safe place to take their children.
How do you assist in this project? There are two types of donations:
1. Monetary: You can make your donation today. A donation in the amount of $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, $10,000 or an amount of your choosing. Please make your check payable to:

We are pleased to expand our committee to include Middletown Tube Works leaders, Catherine Martin, VP of Communication and Marvin Phillips, VP of Manufacturing. We would appreciate your involvement, too. Please give this project and your participation a great deal of consideration.

In the spirit of community service, we thank you in advance for all that you do for the Middletown community. We look forward to volunteering with you on this project
