Glen and I can't say enough we Loved everyone from Rebecca who fostered Curt now is Copper Cocoa. Kim and I have texted about another dog I am looking for and I'm so excited to get another great rescue from her and I will definitely recommend my friends and family! They are all the Greatest!

Not Once...Not Twice...But Three adoptions later we are still IN LOVE with RCCR and our dear sweet babies, Harrison, Izzy-Bella and our newest Gracie!! The communication with RCCR is FANTASTIC!! ...RCCR goes ABOVE and BEYOND not only for these sweet rescued dogs, but for the Families who adopt them. All these years later I can STILL count on RCCR to answer questions for me and help me in EVERY way possible. We HIGHLY recommend RCCR and will not hesitate to adopt from them again.

I adopted two chihuahuas a senior blind female and a 6 year old female with luxating patellas. Both babies are the highlight of my life and I loved working with Kim and her team. Dr. Ivan, the vet recommended by Kim performed surgery on Sandy's knee and she runs and plays like a puppy now. I highly recommend Dr. Ivan and her staff as well as Kim and RCCR!!!

I adopted 2 of my 3 rescues from RCCR and don't have anything bad to say! They treat the rescues like humans and do their very best to find proper placement. I love that the dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots. RCCR goes the extra mile to set you and your dog up for success by giving you tips on how to welcome a rescue into your home as well as resource for coupons/sales for food, bedding, etc.

I had a wonderful experience with the RCCR team. Kim did a reference check to be sure the dog was going to a good home and I received a packet of information that showed my puppys health check, shots that were given, and any history they had on her.
This is a top notch group, that goes above and beyond in taking care of their rescues. Lola was a puppy mill rescue, who was fostered until she was ready to be adopted. Her foster mom sent me some baby pictures of lola and told me about some of the tricks they were working on. Everyone in that group is committed to those pups in rescue. because of RCCR she has a better life now.

Adopted 4 year old Kylie (Rat Terrier) from RCCR. Rescue waived the fee because nobody wanted this 'ugly dog' with all her bald patches. I thought myself that it was candida albicans, but it turned out to be EPI. This was NOT the rescue's fault since the condition is rather rare and most vets have no idea how to treat it.

With digestive enzyme and a few supplements Kylie is now thriving and continues to improve a little more every day. She gives me a reason to get out of bed every morning, and while there's a lot of things to do for her in the course of the day I also have nothing better to do with my time and the reward of having her sleep in my arms is worth every second of effort.

The rescue has been incredibly supportive with advice, supplies and encouragement, dropping off a ton of food, dog beds and very cute clothing. Kylie has now gained 2.5 lbs. and is officially becoming a chubbo, a remarkable feat for an EPI dog, and while she'll never be 'cured' she's a source of joy to me every, single day.

I adopted my dog from RCCR. The whole experience experience was lovely. I adopted her and was going out of town for a week. They were very helpful and said they would keep her for us until we got back. I love my dog Bella and want to adopt from them again in the near future. They are very caring and kind.

I have known Kim & RCCR for a very long time, many, many years. This is a rescue that is highly respected again for many, many years. I work with them networking for the lives of the dogs. Kim & RCCR is a rescue I highly recommend.

I would highly recommend River City Chihuahua Rescue to anyone who wants an animal rescued with love. I was honored to adopt my two babies from Kim five years ago. I was impressed at how committed she was to her babies. She is interested in their progress and the adopters progress with adapting. First and foremost, she wants the best for these animals.

We adopted our cocker spaniel from RCCR 7 years ago. Kim and her team were very caring and wonderful. I would adopt from them again. Very glad there are organizations like these to help in an area of great need.

This review posted is not the experience I have had. I find the group amazingly helpful and upfront about any issues. I would definitely get my next dog from RCC. They are very involved with their adopted pets and work diligently to find the right homes for the ones who still need one. I have had my dog for almost 6 years and don' regret a moment of it.
