Correction: Robert Vernier is no longer with the organization (moved out of state). I was elected to take his position.
Question: I'm currently trying to find documentary evidence that we actually are incorporated as a non-profit in Maryland, but Montgomery County Circuit Court where our by-laws say we recorded our corporate papers in 1892 doesn't have records going back that far. The Maryland State Dept. of Assessments and Taxation does not have a record of us either (but they don't necessarily deal with every non-profit corporation). Nothing showed up in the Maryland archives on-line when I searched either.
So I'm wondering where your information comes from? Do you have access to any sort of official public record that could substantiate our status as a Maryland corporation?
