The other reviewer, Thomas J. Winn, must be confusing Iowa Gun Owners with the Iowa Firearms Coalition. IGO does indeed shill for money constantly, and they have zero contributions or accomplishments in the legislature. When I've talked to my reps and senator in the past, they have nothing but bad to say about IGO. And IGO *does* pay themselves. Their director Aaron Dorr bought a new truck with "contributions" from IGO.
IFC on the other hand is well respected by reps and senators, and they were the ones who got shall issue passed in Iowa, as well as a few other bills. It is very rare when they ask for money too. In fact, I can't think of a time when they have, other than membership renewal reminders. IFC does training and shooting events, and all sorts of things for the gun community too.
I dumped my IGO membership a long time ago, and I'm sticking with IFC for good. I highly recommend everyone else do too.

for a tax exempt group they sure shill for the contributions. For all the donations Iowa is still a backwards state when it comes to firearms protection laws so apparently they dont succeed much- but I bet they pay themselves
