The focus of the National Center For Child Safety and Awareness (NCCSA) is to provide assemblies at schools, churches, community events and child organizations. These assemblies teach the skills necessary to help children avoid becoming the victim of an abduction, molestation, sex trafficking, Internet crimes and bullying.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Crime Information Center (NCIC) there were approximately 850,000 entries (or nearly 2000 per day) of children missing. The disappearance of the child was serious enough that the parent or guardian called a law enforcement agency to take a report.
The NCCSA safety assemblies use floor chats, role playing, and various hands on exercises that are fun and easy to learn for kids. All of the NCCSA safety assemblies are positive, fun and educational, but NEVER frightening.
The NCCSA also conduct adult only workshops. These workshops discuss the reality of these type of crimes and what we as parents can do to help kids and parents work together to prevent these crimes from happening. The NCCSA is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) that depends on corporate sponsors, donations and fundraising to support the program's we provide.
